Eat – Sydney Road’s NEW Albert Street Food & Wine Store

Albert Street Food & Wine Store is Sydney road’s latest Melbourne eatery founded and managed by Ruth Giffney (L’odeon & Bluebird London, Longrain & Coast Sydney) and Stuart Brookshaw (Icebergs, Salt & Kirkton) in collaboration with international pastry chef Phillippa Sibley (aka Harveys London, La Cote Saint Jacques France, Est Est, Est, Luxe & Ondine).

The atmosphere, layout and design of this old bank building (built in 1921) does justice to the amazing menu and service that continued to excite us as we ventured towards a dessert crescendo on a recent visit for dinner.

This all day eatery is one definitely worth trying with its refined yet unfussy food and attention to detail across all facets of this operation.

We’re also very proud to see and smell the Salus hand wash and candles in the bathrooms – a nice touch Ruth and Stuart – who wanted to add that little extra something to the Albert Street Food & Wine Store experience.
